6 Months Old!!

Okay, so taking a picture with a sign is getting harder. These first two pictures are the best I got. She's fast!!

Annnnndddd....some of the failed attempts:

I can't imagine that you would put this paper next to me for any other reason other than for me to eat it...

Thanks for the new toy, Mommy! Quit spending all that money on stuff from the store; this is fun!

Well, I can see here that I am 6 months old...but why did you have to make a sign?

Clearly it's time to get rid of this sign. Nice try, Mama!

And a funny story from today:
3rd grade girl: "Mrs. Collins, do you go to church?"
Me: "Well, not regularly, why?"
Girl: "Because I just prayed to God to help me finish that math test, and He did!"

Just Some Pictures

Grandma Bonnie and Kaitlyn on Easter:

Great Grandma LaVonne:
Great Grandpa Allan:

Do you think it might be time to retire the papasan chair? Buckling her in does no good...

This next picture is a HUGE breakthrough. In fact, I think Jeff and I were more excited about this event than we were about getting our tax return this weekend. This is Kaitlyn's first bath in about four months that she hasn't screamed through. It was SO fun and such a relief to watch her sit and play with her toys in the water. Yay!!

Sunday, April 5, 2009

We had a nice, relaxing weekend. On Saturday, Michaela and her mom came by to meet Kaitlyn. I met Michaela when she was four months old in the infant room at the day care I worked at. She's now eight years old! We have spent quite a bit of time together over the past eight years.

Today, Kaitlyn got to hang out in the sunshine for the first time. Jeff and I are realizing that we are going to have to start thinking about sun hats and sunscreen; we are so used to fleece hats and warm blankets! I had to force myself to bring her in after a little while so she wouldn't get sunburned. It was such a nice day!

First time touching grass :)

Just a random, happy picture:)

Now, back to work with me! Only two and a half months until summer break! Jeff just found out that his new graduation date is May 25th. He'll be doubling up on classes for two weeks pretty soon here, so things will be crazy, but we'll get through it. The end is in sight!
